Introduction: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common cause of chronic hyper androgenic anovulation and single infertility in young women. Anovulatory cycles are frequent adolescents. The signs adult hyperandrogenism less reliable adolescents than adults: hirsutism a developmental phase, acne vulgaris common. Objective: To determine frequency polycystic disease adolescent presented to outdoor. Study Design Setting: This cross sectional study was carried out Department Obstetrics & Gynecology, DHQ, Zanana Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan. Duration Study: conducted from 1st July 2019 31st December 2019. Subjects methods: A total 128 girls presenting OPD due irregular periods were included. Ultrasound done all participants under supervision consultant gynecologist 3 years post fellow ship experience. 5 ml venous blood samples collected by 3rd year resident subsequently sent laboratory for androgen levels. as per operational definition noted. Results: Age range this 14 20 with mean age 18.195±1.29 years, weight 52.898±4.92 Kg, height 1.571±0.08 meters BMI 21.557±2.80 Kg/m2. 19.5% patients family history disease. seen 7.8% patients. Practical implication: polycystric Conclusion: ovarian affecting lives unmarried girls. clinical manifestations variable obesity playing key role.
